IF YOU HAVE READ IT ANYWHERE THAT JESUS SAID HE IS WITH HIS DISCIPLES ALWAYS, BE ASSURED THAT YOU ARE PART OF THE COVENANT.
Since I answered God’s call to serve, there have been persecution all around me, including from my own house.
That of my own home, I really understand that it’s the tactic of the enemy so that I will not focus on my kingdom assignment, however, that doesn’t bother me a bit because Jesus says in the book of John 15:20
“Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
Based on this truth, I have concluded that nothing can stop me from Christ’s kingdom assignment. Jesus had His own story as well.
“When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebub! Mark 3:21-22.
Whatever anyone might have said concerning you is none of your business; your business should be how to complet your assignment and keeping the Faith. Returning to your old way would be a bad choice. As for me, it’s undoubtedly a bad choice.
“Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62.
Therefore, going with enthusiasm in the way of Jesus Christ to continue wreaking havoc in the kingdom of darkness, will be my best choice.
The day the enemy lost total control over my life was the day Christ took over my life.
Believers in Christ, how do you perceive yourself?
Do you know that He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world?
One day, I was praying, and the Lord said, “Though you may think that everything is going contrary to what I have told you, or people are against you, do not be confused; stay with your conviction in me.”
1 John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” Believers in Christ, you need God’s assurance and His grace in every step of your life
Sometime ago, the Lord said to me, “My son, I want you to be still; Pay more attention to me this morning than ever before. I want to show you something that will embolden your faith more in your assignment.” Without delay, I left everything I was doing upstairs, came downstairs, and sat in our living room.
The first thing I recorded that morning was that my wife came downstairs, about to leave for her business. She asked me, “Why can’t you turn on the lights instead of sitting in the dark?” Honestly, I do not see myself sitting in the dark; how she perceived my situation while I sat in the living room doesn’t represent my situation. Where I was seated, I could write a message clearly without omitting any word; that is how well-lit the place was.
How do you perceive yourself? Do you see yourself with men’s mirror or God’s mirror?
The second thing that I recorded that morning was that my wife came back inside to notify me of a previously informed supposed problem with her vehicle. This was not a problem because the car has an onboard alert system for such issues. I asked her, “Is there any alert shown on the dashboard panel?” She said no! We also carried out a necessary physical checkup, which proved that the problem was invalid. But for one reason or another, my wife’s mind couldn’t reset quickly.
Believers in Christ must learn to reset their minds and be sensitively alert to the truth.
When we think about senses, our senses are there mainly to alert us to especially imminent danger; however, we also need to learn how to reset them back to their original state once the threat is averted. Something had earlier alerted my wife’s mind sensitivity to a “problem,” but she didn’t know how to reset her mind back to normal once she found out the problem was invalid.
Example: In John 11, Jesus’ disciples were stuck on certain previous information, but Jesus deflated their fear.
7 And then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.” 8 “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?” 9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light. 10 It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”
In other words, believers in Christ should stop seeing situations as if they will remain forever; all problems expire. This simple mistake will always cause fear in our lives unless we have the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Didn’t we have the right to be afraid when the situation looked scary and genuine?
Of course, it’s in human nature to be afraid, but as children of God, we should not! Why? The word of God tells us that “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.
Information, Revelation, or Advice is meant to bring our attention to something, especially if things are not going right and there is a possibility of danger. However, as believers in Christ, we have what it takes to take action and destroy every fiery dart. The right thing for any man or woman of wisdom or a child of God is to first of all pray, then carry out a checkup based on the information we received, and make necessary corrections if necessary. The word of God says, “Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light.”
You may have noticed that I said, if necessary, the reason was because at times it might be that what they perceived, you have authentic information concerning the issue, so there is no cause for you to be alarmed. Every child of God also has an alert system called the Holy Spirit! Every time we’re afraid, it’s a signal that something is not right. It could be something we have prior knowledge of, but we ignore the warning, or maybe we just give a “window dressing” solution. If you know the scriptures, you might have read about similar events in King Saul’s life.
In 1 Samuel 15, everybody praises Saul except God Almighty. Why? He refuses to obey the word of God in detail. Samuel brings this to his attention, but Saul shifts Samuel’s focus to worship. “Saul replied, “I have sinned. But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel; come back with me, so that I may worship the Lord your God.” So Samuel went back with Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord. 1 Samuel 15:30-31.
A warning came to Saul, but Saul “window-dressed” the warning for “worship.” Really! How could Saul act so foolishly? Well, the reason was best known to him. But what I know is that from that moment, peace eluded Saul, and he ended up losing the unmerited kingdom that was supposed to last for him and destroyed his next generation. When the Almighty God became Samuel’s God to Saul, that is an excellent signal. King Saul’s attention was on self, “praises,” and accolades he was receiving from his people, but he completely relegated God to his “housemaid.” I pray that we all will not be like Saul in the name of Jesus.
Lesson: The Lord said to me, Son, no matter the oppositions, do not be distracted, focus on your assignment, even if it comes to death, you must boldly and prayerfully stand on your conviction.
What is God telling you? Stick with His Instructions, knowing well that God is with you. Peace!
