Can I lose my salvation?

Can I lose my salvation?

Let’s let the Bible answer this question. First, it’s important to remember that salvation is by God’s grace, not our works.

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We don’t earn salvation by our obedience; you can’t earn what you don’t deserve. But by His Grace through faith when we accept HIM, Jesus gives us His righteousness Romans 3:22–25: “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” (KJV)

Several Bible text tells us that: “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”- 2 Peter 2: 20-22 (KJV)

This clearly shows that it is possible for people that are saved to lose their salvation because they turned away from that which they had come to know.

The bible tells us about how such people eventually become entangled in the world’s corruption and be worse off than they were when they knew him.

And Revelation 3:5 “He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” (KJV)

In other words, they that endure till the end shall be saved. This is the categories of people Jesus Christ is referring to.

Finally, Paul said; he takes care so that he doesn’t become disqualified for eternal life

1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (KJV)

This is the view a child of the Most High God should uphold.

The Altar Call

If you are not yet saved or born again but you desire to be, please say this short prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, I repent of ALL my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord and the Saviour of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace and faith in You which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore, Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honour to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. Amen

Be Informed!

It is important to ensure that once you have received the knowledge of the truth, you have come to know Him, do not turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world.

I pray that these scriptures ministers to you in Jesus Name:

Romans 6:1-2 (KJV)”What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”

2 Peter 2:20-21 (KJV)”For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.”
