Do Not Compromise
Jesus said in Matthew 5:33-37 “Again, you have heard that it was said to the men of old, ‘You shall not make false vows, but you shall fulfill your vows to the Lord .’ 34 But I say to you, do not make an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God; 35 or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. 36 Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you are not able to make a single hair white or black. 37 But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’ ; anything more than that comes from the evil one.
What is compromise? It’s an act to accept standards that are lower than desirable, it depends on which angle you may be looking at the word compromise, however, in the Christ kingdom, compromise is a very big concern and a dangerous issue, there are multiple records of compromises in the bible that led their next generation into trouble if you need proofs.
For instance, let’s assume that you’re a Christian and a president of a company, and loyal to your boss. Now, let us carry out an integrity test, if your boss greedily involves in a shady deal that has a tendency of destroying many people’s lives, and some group of people come to and say the only way they can cover the tracks of your boss not to return what he has looted or stolen from the poor people, and not to go to jail is for you, a Christian president to become a security chief officer in your company. What will you do?
As a Christian please kindly remember the role of the righteousness of Christ, repentance, and restitution in your judgment.
As a Christian, acting contrary to the evil bidding and wickedness of your boss at any time if you have proof and the Holy Spirit is leading you to do so is highly welcome, in other words, it is allowed. Therefore, believers in Christ, stop your fallacy of “touch not my anointed”. Why is it that at the end of the day “the anointed ones” don’t want to end up in jail?
Someone may have the approval to send you to a prison that has four walls or to the prison in their heart, but that has not made you a criminal; It simply means that you’ve stepped on someone’s toes, and they’re proudly exercising their wicked authority over you. In any way that hasn’t changed the truth that God is still the Almighty. Do not compromise! Though the consequences of doing the right thing may be hard to bear sometimes, however, that is the best choice.
For example King Ahab in 1 Kings 22:26-27. And Herod in Luke chapter 3:1-20 NIV …But when John rebuked Herod the tetrarch because of his marriage to Herodias, his brother’s wife, and all the other evil things he had done… Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.
BELIEVERS IN CHRIST, DO YOU THINK APOSTLE JOHN STEPPED OUTSIDE OF HIS CALLING BY REBUKING HEROD TETRARCH BECAUSE OF HIS MARRIAGE TO HERODIAS?
“In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’” Matthew 3:1-3.
As Jesus Christ’s followers, our assignment in this dying age should be similar to that of Apostle John. How? We’re to be heralding the second coming of Christ, not to come and be taxing the innocent children of God to comatose or die in other to build a Redemption camp, Shiloh camp, or Mountain of fire that has not yet redeemed the souls of their ordained pastors, nor burn away the covetousness and greediness in their member’s hearts not to talk of various political robbers and the cultist among them.
Their pastors are dying daily, while they’re keeping silent because of poverty in the nation, that is why many of them are accepting the evil bidding of corrupt politicians and fraudulent entrepreneurs in their various franchise parishes.
BELIEVERS IN CHRIST, IF YOU HAVE MADE A DECISION TO BE STANDING FOR JESUS CHRIST’S RIGHTEOUSNESS, YOU MUST NOT COMPROMISE
1. Do not be afraid of speaking the truth in any Church gatherings or society.
2. Do not be afraid of any consequence that may follow after you have spoken the truth.
3. Always remain focused on God’s strength when it seems that you’re weary because of persecution that is emanating in the course of your conviction. Always remember the following after you have done what God called you to do, relax, and watch the following begin to happen in your life and ministry.
“Profound and reverent fear seized them all, and they began to recognize God and praise and give thanks, saying, A great Prophet has appeared among us! And God has visited His people ! And this report concerning spread through the whole of Judea and all the country roundabout. And John’s disciples brought him word of all these things. And John summoned to him a certain two of his disciples and sent them to the Lord, saying, Are You He Who is to come, or shall we look for another? So the men came to Jesus and said, John the Baptist sent us to You to ask, Are You the One Who is to come, or shall we look for another? Luke 7:16-20 Amp
4. Do not allow any situation you may be passing through to control you. In conclusion, never shift your focus to the help from around, focus on the help from the above that has the ability to send you help from around.
REMAIN BLESSED IN JESUS NAME
